Job Description:
Electrician – Mechanics report to the supervisor or person designated by the Supervisor to perform assigned functions in accordance with Clark Electrics policies, procedures and assist in achieving the company’s aims, goals, and objectives. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs electrical systems, equipment, and associated materials within the electrical construction industry.
Job Skills:
Basic math skills, ability to read plans, dependable transportation, and effective communication skills. Commercial electrical construction experience including EMT, GRC, and MC cable experience . Ability to install switch gear, and effectively layout lighting per plans.

OSHA 10 or 30 .
Responsibilities:
- Direct and work with an Electrician Helper as directed by Supervisor or designated person.
- Accurately install conduit, wire, prefab assemblies, panel boards, light fixtures, devices, and other equipment per layout by the Supervisor or designated person.
- Minimize waste of materials
- Assure quality of the installation by installing correctly the first time
- Follow diagrams and blueprints to ensure that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring are installed.
- Measure, cut, thread, ream, assemble, and install conduit, using such tools as hacksaw, band saw, pipe threader and conduit bender(s).
- Pulling wire; splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or other means, twisting wires together, and applying terminal connectors and or tape.
- Connect wiring to light fixtures, power equipment, motors, devices, and other electrical apparatus, using hand tools and power tools.
- Test continuity of circuits, circuit wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of components using test instruments.
- Observe functions of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- May repair faulty equipment or systems
- Complete required paperwork.
- Monitor safety per Clark Electrics & OSHA safety requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of all tools and equipment.
- Demonstrate efficient knowledge of trade.
- Coordinate installation with other trades.
- Responsible for getting materials and proper tools together to complete assigned task.
- Assist Supervisor or designated person to trouble- shoot electrical branch circuits and feeders
Qualifications:
- Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.
- Comprehend reading of blueprints drawings, and schematics same
- Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.
- Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
- Must have the ability to use safely the required power tools.
- Must be able to safely operate equipment (trenchers, lift trucks, aerial lifts, etc.).
- Operate and work from mechanical personal lifts (electric or gas powered).
- Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
- Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
- Operate two handed tools as required.
- Assist Supervisor or designated person with energized circuits and equipment as outlined in the Company Safety Policy Manual.
- Effectively supervise electrical helpers to complete tasks assigned by a supervisor safely and accurately.
Physical Functions:
- Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.
- Climb ladders (all types).
- Complete overhead work for extended periods of time.
- Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
