Qualifications

7:00AM-3:30PM Monday - Friday, OT as needed

Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $32.00-$38.00 + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.This information is specific to Stokesdale, NC and may not be applicable to other locations.

What your day in this role might involve at OC Stokesdale:

The primary purpose of this position is to troubleshoot and repair electrical parts and components.Help develop and conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. Interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and other documentation of equipment and systems within the plant. Proactively communicate with departments and outside vendors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment. The incumbent must have both mechanical and electrical experience and knowledge.

  • Ensure operation of electrical and mechanical equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all electrical systems.
  • Understanding and ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to fix and knowledge of the different aspects and parts of machinery in use, like hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical components
  • Install conduit, disconnects, push buttons, switches, motor starters, relays, timers, circuit breakers, distribution systems and pull wire.
  • Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot encoders and their control applications.
  • Troubleshoot various types of control systems such as temperature, liquid level, and flow systems.
  • Ability to use various electrical equipment such as oscilloscope, meter, and amp probe.
  • Complete weekly/daily assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Read, understand, and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and work orders.
  • Read, interpret and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using ladder logic, electrical prints and/or schematics.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company policies, OSHA safety requirements and local, state and federal regulations.
  • Plan projects and engage outside contractors as necessary.
  • Willingness to attend required training as deemed necessary.
  • Workwithin company safety rules and related industry regulations
  • Stays focused on assigned tasks; prioritizes projects based upon management guidance.

What makes a successful OC Stokesdale team member:

Must haves include...

  • Must have a valid North Carolina Electrical License
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Licensed Electrician
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite and experience with CMMS or other maintenance tracking software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure.
  • Open-minded and positive in dealing with change

Would be terrific if you also had...

  • Previous experience in working in a manufacturing facility - preferred
  • Ability to read and/or write Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic and to use Allen Bradley PLCs for troubleshooting - preferred

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

  • Stand, climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
  • Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 35-pounds)
  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
  • Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
