Responsibilities


  • Perform advanced electrical maintenance and repairs to support hospital operations.

  • Complete preventative maintenance and work orders on electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including HVAC, variable speed drives, switchgear, motor control centers, and emergency generators.

  • Ensure compliance with electrical and building codes and maintain safe working conditions throughout the facility.

  • Be part of an on-call rotation (no regular weekends; only emergencies as needed).



Qualifications


  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED, required.

    • Two-year technical degree required OR equivalent work experience.

    • Completion of a three-year electrical apprenticeship, required.



  • Experience:

    • Minimum five years of experience in commercial electrical distribution installation and maintenance, required.

    • Healthcare or hospital experience, preferred.



  • Licensure:

    • Valid city or county journeyman's card and/or electrician’s license from state of employment, required.

    • Valid driver’s license, required.
