The Government Publishing Office is seeking an Electrician Leader to oversee operations, ensuring safety and efficiency within electrical systems. This position is part of the Agency Support Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia. To qualify for the Electrician Leader, KE -2805-00, you must meet the following requirements:
Applicants must meet the following Screen-Out element, Job Element #73 - Ability to Lead or Supervise as an Electrician Leader to be considered for this position. Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of an Electrician Leader.
Examples of these duties include:
1) Serve as the first-line leader that ensure employees follow work instructions and safety protocol in accordance with Directives, policy, and guidance;
2) Coordinate repair efforts with other leaders to maintain shift to shift continuity;
3) Track material costs and reports costs in the Computerized Maintenance Management System; and
4) Maintenance and repair of the electrical systems used in the manufacturing process.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
