What You Will Be Responsible for While in This Position:

The successful candidate will perform layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical and telecommunications systems to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting, and facilities, in accordance with codes, regulations, safety standards, and will collaborate with other Electricians as required.

This role requires the ability to layout, install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of industrial electrical and telecommunication systems, and to support the continuous operation of essential electrical equipment.

Responsibilities also include partnering with other Electricians to provide guidance, install, and commission electrical systems, and overseeing installation and repair work, which may involve high voltage circuits and instrumentation.

Knowledge and Abilities:

We seek a candidate with experience in laying out, installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical and telecommunication systems, with a solid understanding of electrical theory. The candidate must be available for emergencies or job assignments on a 24-hour basis and possess a valid New York driver’s license. The ability to work independently due to the diverse nature of the work is essential.

The candidate should be willing to attend training or schooling related to the job, during or outside working hours.

Education:

High School diploma or Vocational School diploma (or equivalent), plus two years of formal training in the electrical field, including NEC code review classes.
