Compensation

• $28+ per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite work as directed by field supervisors & foremen
• Erect and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and devices in buildings
• Install electrical components in accordance with building codes and regulations
• Work with other electricians and contractors to install lighting fixtures and devices
• Diagnose electrical problems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Test circuits to determine whether they are live or dead
• Measure voltage, amperage, resistance, phase displacement using electrical instruments
• Knowledgeably discuss the implications of installing various types of wiring
• Ensure that the work is done in accordance with code, including the National Electrical Code

Qualifications

• Tenant Improvement experience (Class A)
• Ability to complete jobs from start to finish
• Experience with nLight, wattstopper, Douglas, and Blue Box lighting controls
• 5+ years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or residential
• TDLR Journeyman Electrician License (preferred, but not required)
• Efficiency in troubleshooting, problem solving and making repairs in a timely manner
• Experience in installation of electrical panel systems, conduit, wiring and fixtures
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Willingness to submit to and pass drug screen
