Job Summary

Maintains and upgrades all hospital electrical systems. Performs electrical testing of equipment to ensure compliance with JCAHO and other standards.

Essential Functions

1. Installs, repairs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits and equipment, including heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and emergency power systems.
2. Reads and interprets blueprints; installs wiring according to specifications.
3. Estimates costs of electrical jobs.
4. Requests administrative permits for installations.
5. Tests equipment for government inspectors upon work completion.
6. Performs all work neatly and professionally.
7. Maintains flexibility for project support and shift coverage.

• Identifies issues, assesses options, and chooses appropriate actions for non-routine situations.
