Essential Functions and Responsibilities for a Journeyman Electrician:

• Install electrical panelboards, switchgear, lighting, disconnects, etc.
• Install and terminate electrical conductors for power and controls ranging from 20awg to 750kcmil
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including feeders and branch circuits
• Install conduit for ground, ladders, and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, including Galvanized Rigid Conduit, Aluminum Rigid Conduit, Intermediate Metal Conduit, Electrical Metallic Tubing, and Polyvinyl Chloride Conduit
• Perform all work emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity
• Minimize waste during electrical material installation
• Participate in daily safety plans and weekly safety meetings

Minimum Requirements for a Journeyman Electrician:

• 10,000 hours of work experience in a commercial and/or industrial setting or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
• Reliable transportation
• Own hand tools
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus but not required
