• Reads and understands blueprints.
• Assists in modifying or planning new installations to minimize waste of materials and provide access for future maintenance.
• Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams to ensure proper installation.
• Works around hazardous wiring and follows safety protocols.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using tools.
• Splices wires using hand tools, soldering equipment, tape or terminal gaps.
• Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Installs control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
• Unwinds and pulls cable.
• Connects power cable to equipment using hand tools.
• Tests the installed equipment for safety and electrical compatibility.
• Disassembles defective electrical equipment.
• May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Pay Range:

$28.50 - $31.00 / hour dependent on experience and qualifications.

• Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.

• Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
• Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work above ground as necessary.
• Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
• Safely operates power tools and equipment.
• Typically requires a minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience.
