Job summary

The Air Education and Training Command is seeking a skilled electrician to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems, controls, and equipment at or near installation buildings and structures in Texas.

You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, perform tests with multimeters and circuit analyzers, and follow safety rules to keep a clean and safe work environment while using a wide range of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs or replaces, modifies, loads, and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures.
• Troubleshoots problem areas and inspects for defective equipment and faulty wiring.
• Uses plans/blueprints/diagrams and maintenance manuals to determine repairs and replacements; operates various hand/power tools and test equipment.
• Follows safety practices and uses proper PPE to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
