Job summary

Equipment & Controls, Inc. is seeking an electrician to plan layout and install electrical wiring per project specs and local codes. This role involves wiring connections, ladder/scaffold work, conduit installation, and assembling and testing electrical systems.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of electrical schematics, 1–2 years of electrical/instrumentation education, proficiency with basic hand tools, and strong teamwork and communication skills; must lift 50 lbs and work safely.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical schematics.
• 1–2 years of electrical or instrumentation education.
• Know how to use basic hand tools (drills, saws, rulers, wire cutters, wire strippers, etc.).
• Must have good communication skills.
• Will have the ability to multi-task.
• Must be a team player able to work closely with other personnel.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring per specs and codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components
• Work from ladders, scaffolds or manlift to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures
• Cut, bend, and thread conduit, route onto fabricated piping skidded systems or install into container boxes and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors
• Assemble, install, test or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus or fixtures, using hand tools and power tools

Requirements:
