Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling seeks an Electrician III to oversee all aspects of residential, commercial and industrial wiring, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing of Rumpke owned equipment and buildings.

The role requires obtaining a Journeyman license within six months, strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes, OSHA regulations, and the ability to work safely at various heights. You will coordinate with the Electrical Department Manager and may travel for large projects.

Qualifications

  • Must obtain Journeyman license within 6 months of employment.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Codes and OSHA regulations.
  • Self-motivated and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of using all electrical testing equipment and electrical tools.
  • Proficient bending and installing Rigid and EMT conduit.
  • Knowledge to make code compliant and safe repairs and installations.
  • Ability to work at different heights with necessary safety equipment.
  • Must be available to be on-call.
  • May be assigned to work various hours and shifts based on business needs.
  • Requires out of town overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Electrical Contractors on large projects as assigned by Electrical Department Manager.
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain open communication with the Electrical Department Manager.
  • Follow all company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Ability to workflexible hours; overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be available for 24-hour emergency calls.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
