The Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a qualified Electrician II to join the division responsible for maintaining electrical systems. The role requires planning and supervising electrical work, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring safety standards are followed in both routine and complex projects.
Candidates must hold a Hawaii Journeyman Electrician license (or Supervising license) and have at least one year of licensed experience. A valid driver’s license is also required.
Electrician II, WS-10: $6,794.00 per month

This position requires the ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and lift/carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds assisted by another person and/or use of equipment (e.g., hoisting equipment, hand truck.).
Applicants must meet all the requirements for the position they are seeking as of the date of the application, unless otherwise specified. Unless specifically indicated, the required education and experience may not be gained concurrently. Calculation of experience is based on full-time, 40-hour workweeks. Part-time experience is pro-rated. Example: Twelve months of experience at 20 hours/week is equivalent to six months of experience, not one year. Also, hours worked in excess of 40 hours/week will not be credited. Example: Twelve months of experience at 60 hours/week is equivalent to one year of experience, not one and a half years.
