Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in high voltage electrical systems.

We are the Orlando International Airport!The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) operates MCO and the Orlando Executive Airport. The airport serves as a significant transportation resource, catalyst and hub in the State of Florida.

POSITIONSUMMARY:

Install, operate, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment including electrical services, switch gear, emergency generators and associated transfer equipment, lighting and lighting contactors, photo controls, computerized lighting control relay panels, motor controls and transformers in the landside terminal, airside buildings, and other terminal associated buildings and structures. Read wiring diagrams, electrical plans and specifications. Inspect and perform regular cleaning and prescribed maintenance tasks on associated equipment. Complete maintenance work orders as assigned, record all time, materials, and equipment information correctly and promptly to ensure accurate maintenance and repair records are kept. Responsible for staying current with all electrical codes, advanced technology maintenances practices and GOAA emergency response procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent, with three (3) years experience in a combination of troubleshooting and repair of motor controls, high voltage electrical systems up to 600 volts, lighting, power and BASL control systems and components, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of electrical codes, applicable OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E standard.
  • Basic understanding of BASL systems and Candela lighting override and control devices
  • Familiarity with a mobile computerized maintenance management system desired
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations and guidelines regarding the safe utilization and operation of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of essential safety equipment and protective devices and Lock out/Tag out (LOTO) safety procedures.
  • Must be capable of properly operating field communications equipment.
  • Current Journeyman Electrician Competency Card recognized by the State of Florida desired.
  • Valid Florida driver license required.
  • Must be able and willingto work various shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed.
