Cumberland County Schools in Fayetteville, North Carolina seeks an Electrician I to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in the 203 Operations/Maintenance department. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years in the electrical trade, with preferred technical training and licensing.

Responsibilities include estimating materials, coordinating with other trades, and upholding safety standards while supporting district facilities and equipment.

Formación

• Completion of high school or equivalent and five years of experience in the electrical trade.
• Technical school training preferred.
• Basic or school electrician's license required.
• Knowledge of fire alarms and low voltage systems.

Responsabilidades

• Receives general supervision.
• Installs, maintains, alters and repairs wiring, power appliances, lights and electrical circuits.
• Installs, maintains and repairs electric motors, generators and related mechanical equipment.
• Makes estimates of time and materials as needed.
• Adjusts and cleans electrical switches and control devices.
• Possesses knowledge of safety hazards, rules, regulations and implements safety programs/precautions.
• Possesses skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical devices and systems.
• Possesses ability to coordinate with other trades.
• Attends and successfully completes all training activities as required to improve ability and knowledge in performance of work duties.
• Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
