Performs skilled electrical/electronic work in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment including marine vessels. Work requires contact with departmental personnel and private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Additional duties for Electrician II:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Electrician I: Experience: 4 years electrical experience. Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Electrician II: Experience: 5 years electrical experience. Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
