Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrician/Electronics Technician to install, test, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment across two nearby locations. The role requires travel between sites and entails weekend availability with a Monday–Friday 7am–3pm schedule.

Responsibilities include routine repairs, preventive maintenance, records-keeping, and safety compliance, with a focus on efficient operation and hazard handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC voltage, drives, and control wiring.
• Familiarity with PLC controls and safe equipment practices.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery and transfer systems per manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment.
• Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Set up and run equipment and machinery.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Participate in safety and CI programs.
• Handle hazardous waste and materials according to procedures.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Electrician/Electronics Technician is responsible for performing the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment.

Please note: This position supports two locations located just minutes apart. The candidate will regularly travel between both locations as part of their role.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. Weekend availability is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery, transfer systems, hand tools, etc., in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
• Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all electrical and electronic machinery, equipment, tools, and building
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
• Performs set-ups, tunes ups, and runs the equipment, and machinery around the plant
• Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
• Maintains work area clean and organized
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
• Prepares various reports as required
• Performs other duties as required

Qualification

• Minimum high school diploma; associate's degree is preferred
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance, electrical and electronic control technology
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology
• Working knowledge of AC/DC voltage, AC/DC drives, control wiring, and PLC Controls
• Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Must be at least 18 years of age
