Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC motor control circuits and perform repairs.
• Familiarity with electrical safety training and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and test AC and DC motor control circuits.
• Locate and repair faulty fuses, shorts, opens, and grounds.
• Run power circuits per NEC standards and load requirements.
• Load programs for AC/DC drives and adjust parameters as needed.
• Perform basic mechanical duties and assist electricians as required.
• Complete work orders and document activities.

• Wire: 3 Phase motor connections, disconnects, fuse blocks, timers, counters, process meters, contactors, heaters, transformers, proximity sensors, relays, solenoids, drives and plc’s
• Troubleshoot and test AC and DC motor control circuits.
• Locate bad fuses, short circuits, opens and grounds, and be able to repair as needed.
• Run power circuits for required loads per NEC standards
• Understand software programs of AC drives, DC drives, timers, photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, and process meters well enough to load programs and make parameter changes
• Diagnostic testing using VOM and amprobe
• Understand and complete work orders
• Perform basic mechanical duties
• Must be willing to assist and train Class II Electricians
• Electrical Safety Training
• Lock-out / Tag-out Training
• CPR and First Aid training
• Fire Extinguisher Training
• Fork lift truck and Powered Industrial Vehicle training
• MSDS training
• Confined space training
• Glove and hand Safety Training
