Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our ABB HVAC service team as a Low Voltage HVAC VFD Service Technician. This role will focus on servicing our extensive installed base of ABB Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) across Indiana, with an emphasis on commercial and institutional facilities such as hospitals and schools. You will also work closely with contractors and building owners to identify opportunities for replacing competitor drives with ABB solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of low voltage HVAC VFD systems (primarily ABB).
• Provide on-site support for startup and service of new and existing VFD installations.
• Collaborate with our ABB drive sales team, HVAC service manager, and fellow ABB VFD technicians.
• Accurately document service work and communicate findings with customers and internal teams.
• Identify and report opportunities to upgrade or replace non-ABB drives, qualifying for bonus incentives.
• Support customers with clear, professional communication and technical knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Proven electrical experience with a strong background in commercial HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs), especially ABB products, preferred.
• Experience working in commercial buildings such as hospitals, schools, and industrial sites.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a collaborative team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
