Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Electrician in Houston to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment across industrial facilities. You will read blueprints and schematics, install and modify cable trays and conduits, and terminate low-voltage wiring.

Strong problem-solving and safety focus are essential for this fast-paced role. Required are 3–5 years of journeyman-level experience and licenses (NCCER, TDLR, and DL).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Journeyman TDLR, NCCER, and DL licenses.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and plant systems.

Responsabilités

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctions and locate root causes with test equipment.
• Read blueprints/schematics and install/modify cable trays, conduits, and wiring.
• Terminate low-voltage wiring and troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Adhere to safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Electrician

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Electrical Technician
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently to perform duties.
  • Must have worked as an Industrial Electrician for a minimum of 4 years.
  • Must know basic electrical theory for example but not limited to ohms law.
  • Must be able to install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment as well as power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
  • Must be proficient in cable pulling methods use to run the cable through specified pathways.
  • Must be able to use specialized electrical tools such as but not limited to ohm meters, multi-meters, and terminating devices.
  • Must be able to terminate low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
  • Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to an Industrial Plant.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
  • Must be able to identify different types, gauges, and color of cables and wires.
  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
• Other duties as assigned.

Certifications/ Licenses: Journeyman TDLR, NCCER, and DL
Experience: – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
