Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for hospital electrical systems maintenance and repair. You will install, inspect, and service power, lighting, and control systems across existing facilities and new construction, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, vocational training, and 3 years’ experience in industrial/institutional electrical work, with hospital safety knowledge and lockout/tagout

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician with knowledge of hospital electrical and safety codes.
• Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
• Experience in industrial and/or institutional electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical components; troubleshoot issues with testing devices.
• Work from blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate completion.
• Perform electrical preventive maintenance including fire alarm systems and standby generators.
• Coordinate with other trades and staff to ensure safe, compliant operation.
