Job summary

SGMC Health on the Main Campus seeks an experienced electrician to join the SGA Engineering team. You will plan layout, install, and repair wiring, fixtures, and control equipment in a hospital setting, ensuring code compliance and safe operation.

You will read diagrams, install conduits, test circuits, and perform minor repairs. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work varied hours; licensure to Georgia standards is required.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Graduate of a vocational school, or 3 - 5 years experience in the electrical field.
  • Position requires current Georgia Electrical Contractors Licensing requirements be met.

Responsibilities

  • Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
  • Prepare sketches showing wiring layouts or follow diagrams/blueprints for future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Install conduits, splice wiring, and connect lighting fixtures and equipment; test circuits for safety and compatibility.
