Job summary

Arrow's Edge is seeking an on-site supervisor to plan, organize, and evaluate the activities of craftsmen within maintenance programs for facilities. The incumbent will coordinate with the control center, ensure material readiness, and oversee safety and productivity on NASA-related projects.

The role requires a journeyman-level background (four years) and two years of supervisory experience, along with a high school diploma or equivalent and additional training.

• Four years journeyman level experience in the trade.
• Two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate on-site activities of assigned craftsmen.
• Schedule and assign supervision for all scheduled work orders.
• Coordinate with the work control center on task scheduling and pre-staging of materials.
• Provide procurement with technical information to obtain special supplies and materials.
• Ensure the electrical section has safe tools, ladders and adequate materials for NASA projects.
• Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion.
• Resolve union-related issues such as disciplinary actions or grievances.
• Ensure craftsmen work safely and productively at all times.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – INCUMBENT-ONLY POSITION This position is only open to current employees supporting the FOMSS II Contract. Applications from individuals who are not currently incumbents on this contract will not be considered.

Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the on-site activities of assigned craftsmen as applied to maintenance programs on facilities in area of responsibility.

• Implements and enforces company policies and rules. Assigns all scheduled work orders and determines which supervisor will be tasked with the responsibility.
• Coordinates with work control center on scheduling tasks and planning for pre-staging of materials.
• Provides procurement office with the necessary technical information to obtain special supplies and materials.
• Assures the electrical section has safe tools, ladders, etc., and enough tools and materials to work all jobs required by NASA.
• Monitors work in progress and assures all work is completed on time.
• Responsible for the resolution of union problems that may arise, such as disciplinary actions, grievances, etc.
• Makes sure that assigned craftsmen work safely and productively at all times.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years advanced education or equivalent specialized training. Four (4) years experience at the journeyman level in the trade, plus two (2) years supervisory experience.
