Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY in Florence, AZ is seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across the Arizona State Prison Complex – Eyman. You will ensure safe operation and compliance with codes while contributing to a strong team environment.

Responsibilities include supervising inmate crews, reading blueprints, performingPreventative maintenance, and coordinating material estimates.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical remodeling and major utility services.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for installation work.
• Knowledge of national and local electrical codes and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office to generate reports and charts.
• Experience supervising inmate work crews on electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and teaches inmate work crews on electrical installations and maintenance.
• Performs preventative maintenance on motors, generators, batteries, pumps, and more.
• Interprets blueprints and ensures work meets codes and standards.
• Inspects electrical panels and tests emergency transfer switches.
• Tracks work orders and estimates material costs.
• Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment.
