Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking an Electrician Energy to join our team. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain 480V and below electrical circuits, control circuits, and vital safety systems in a demanding industrial environment.

You must complete an Electrical Apprenticeship and have at least 3 years of relevant experience, with a strong safety focus (NEPA 70E PPE) and basic Microsoft Office skills. US citizenship is required and a federal background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Electrical Apprenticeship is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience.
• Strong safety awareness including NEPA 70E PPE.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements.
• Familiarity with interpreting electrical drawings, red-lining as-built conditions, and performing walkdowns.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good communication, verbal and written skills.
• U.S. citizenship required for AtkinsRéalis/Isotek Systems Project positions.

Responsibilities

• Stops work if unsafe conditions threaten safety or environmental risk.
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains 480V and below circuits (distribution systems, motors, HVAC, controllers).
• Maintains control circuits (low-voltage DC, 4-20 mA, PLCs, fiber optic systems).
• Maintains vital safety systems and alarm circuits (fire, security, radiation, emergency generators).
• Performs routine electrical maintenance (re-lamping, testing, preventive maintenance).
• Performs electrical isolations and lockout/tagout of 480V circuits.
• Supports ISMS principles and Isotek Safety Culture.
• Maintains Qualified Electrical Worker qualifications.
• Complies with DOE Order 433.1C Maintenance Management Program for DOE Nuclear Facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

We are seeking an Electrician Energy, to join our Team in our Oak Ridge, TN office.

Your role

• Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains 480 volt and below electrical circuits (distribution systems, motors, HVAC, controllers, Balance of Plant, etc.).
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains control circuits (low-voltage DC, 4-20 mA current loops, digital circuits, fiber optic cable systems, process controllers, PLCs, etc.).
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains vital safety systems and alarm circuits (fire, security, radiation, criticality, process, emergency generators, etc.).
• Performs routine industrial/commercial electrical maintenance (re-lamping, periodic testing, preventative maintenance, etc.).
• Performs electrical isolations and lockout/tagout of 480 volt and below electrical circuits.
• Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture.
• Maintains training for Qualified Electrical Worker qualifications.
• Conducts work in compliance with DOE Order 433.1C, Maintenance Management Program for DOE Nuclear Facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

About you

• Requires a High School Diploma, or Equivalent.
• Completion of Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience.
• Strong safety awareness, including NEPA 70E requirements and use of shock/arc flash PPE.
• Knowledge of electrical installation requirements including current NEC requirements.
• Familiarity with interpreting electrical drawings, red-lining as-built conditions, and performing walkdowns.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic communication, verbal, and written skills.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $18.00-$30.00 hourly, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
