Job summary

Collis, LLC, a global supplier to appliance OEMs, seeks an Electrician Class II in Clinton, IA to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and equipment in manufacturing plants. You will ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA/NESC/ISA codes while supporting power distribution, industrial controls, and machine automation, including Fanuc robots.

The role requires 2 years of hands-on electrical work and 1 year in a related setting, with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

  • 2 years of hands-on electrical experience required.
  • 1 year of proven success as an Industrial Electrician or equivalent technical training.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting abilities across the board.
  • Must have a valid forklift certification or ability to acquire one.
  • Must have a valid blueprint certification or ability to acquire one.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers.
  • Work overtime as necessary.
  • Installs, replaces, repairs, and maintains electrical systems throughout the plants, equipment, and machinery.
  • Attend meetings as directed and take ownership of all tasks assigned.
  • Support Maintenance and Operations with troubleshooting of all key systems including power distribution, and general-purpose industrial controls.
  • Experience with electromechanical systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of various robots (primarily Fanuc).
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks per the PM software and/or as assigned.
  • Create workorders within the PM Software.
  • Understand NEC, NFPA, NESC and ISA standards.
  • Maintain detailed project files and equipment documentation in an organized manner that aligns with the PLC Electrician Lead’s structure.
  • Work from verbal instructions, sketches, diagrams, or blueprints to perform duties according to electrical building codes.
  • Determine proper layout of water, air, and gas lines when installing/repairing equipment as it pertains to the electrical system.
  • Perform daily system checks, including boiler, air compressors, chemical treatment, and water softening equipment as assigned.
  • Set up and operate maintenance equipment to execute necessary repairs and revisions including new installations of the electrical equipment such as motors, relays, control boxes, welding and powder coating equipment and plant lighting.
  • Track daily activities in maintenance software.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Able to look up parts and place requisitions to order parts.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs as needed to facilitate electrical repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Electrician Class II will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.
