Job summary

Nestlé in Allentown, PA, seeks an Electrician Class II to maintain plant systems across manufacturing, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot electrical controls, motors and PLCs, and contribute to machine reliability and process improvements while working safely.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Shifts are 6 PM–6 AM; hourly pay is $40.39 with bonus eligibility and a competitive total rewards

Position Summary

Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. As an Electrician Class II, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our electrician’s work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
• Properly use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter and megger
• Proper usage of PPE equipment while operating in the MCC rooms
• Installation of sensors
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motor(s) including three phase systems
• Troubleshoot and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc.
• All other duties as assigned

*This role will be required to work 6PM-6AM.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.

Pay: $40.39 per hour

Bonus Eligibility: Yes

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
