Who we are:

Guidant Power provides arc flash evaluations and electrical safety training to industrial and commercial clients nationwide. Since 2011, we have completed thousands of evaluations for well-known companies in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing.

We are adding a data collector to our team to help make workplaces safer. If you have 480V 3-phase factory experience, we want to talk with you!

Who we need:

We are looking for an individual with prior industrial electrical experience to travel to customer sites and collect information on their electrical distribution systems. You should have experience working in well-managed industrial facilities, be able to read and understand one-line diagrams, and identify components within electrical distribution systems. Following safety procedures, you will be required to open live equipment to record data.

Work independently and as part of a team. Most of your time will be alone on site, so you must be efficient, manage your time well, understand your limitations, and ask for help when needed. You will also communicate regularly with our team during site visits for support.

What you'll do:

• Travel to job sites to conduct arc flash evaluations
• Open equipment and record information via photos, paper, and electronic means
• Read and understand one-line diagrams and create accurate as-built drawings
• Use online storage to retrieve and upload data, and spreadsheets to enter information
• Communicate with engineering and customers to ensure accuracy
• Apply labels to electrical equipment
• Maintain professionalism as the company's representative with customers
• Use your electrical knowledge to accurately describe distribution systems for engineering modeling
• Experience a variety of industries, from manufacturing to healthcare to power plants

What you bring:

• Industrial electrical experience or electrical engineering degree
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license, air travel)
• Reside within an hour of a major airport
• Proficiency with laptops, tablets, and applications like Google Drive, spreadsheets, photos, and PDFs
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a small, focused team

Additional Information:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk, stand, and crawl for extended periods
• Reside in the USA
• No current visa sponsorship
• This is a 100% travel position
