Job summary

Douglas County School District in Colorado is seeking an Electrician I, II or III to learn and perform electrical repairs, maintenance and installations in accordance with the NEC under supervision, serving school facilities. The role requires physical work, climbing up to 40 feet, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a path through an approved apprenticeship.

Candidates must be enrolled or registered in a DORA-accredited electrical apprenticeship, complete required training hours and pass the

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 288 hours of electrical training within 4 years.
• OSHA safety training: 10 hours within 4 years.
• Pass Journeyman Electrical exam after 8,000 hours of on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Four weeks on-call required annually.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself professionally.
• Care for District supplied tools, equipment, vehicles, etc.
• Work with constant supervision throughout the four-year Apprenticeship Program.
