Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an apprentice electrician to support construction, maintenance and repair of facilities systems and equipment. Under the supervision of a licensed electrician, you will assist with wiring, conduit work, and routine electrical tasks on varied projects.

The role requires a High School Diploma and enrollment in an apprenticeship program with on-the-job training hours. Travel up to 10% and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and enrollment in an apprenticeship program with 2,000 hours/year.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades with construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems, buildings and equipment.
• Install and repair wiring, fixtures, and equipment, measure, cut, bend and install conduit, assist with wire pulls, etc.
• Work under the direct supervision of a licensed electrician.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing equipment.
• Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Review and maintain compliance with safety requirements, material handling and organization.
• Maintain a clean and safe work and storage area.
• Perform other duties as required.
