Responsibilities:

  1. Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software, and apply functional operation knowledge for electronic units and systems.
  2. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
  3. Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in watertight electrical equipment.
  4. Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
  5. Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation, or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
  6. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment in order to detect and prevent problems.
  7. Examine work orders and communicate with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
  8. Consult with customers, supervisors, and engineers to plan equipment layout or to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance.
  9. Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma/GED required
  2. Knowledge of “safe” working practices (ex. OSHA, Lock Out / Tag Out)
  3. Needs to have a detailed knowledge of electrical codes and standards
  4. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, etc.
  5. Strong communication skills
  6. Able to read, speak, and understand English
  7. Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
  8. Ability to pass aptitude assessment
Location Profile

Opened in 1985, the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum sheet. The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge, anneals to temper levels, and slits the rolled sheet to size. Employing more than 350 people, the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction, automotive, distribution, transportation, and consumer durable applications.
