Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical systems
  • Run conduit and wiring
  • Assist with installing outlets, switches, lighting, panels, and fixtures
  • Support journeyman and master electricians
  • Carry tools and materials
  • Prepare work areas
  • Follow instructions for installations and repairs
  • Read and follow plans
  • Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes
  • Perform basic electrical tasks
  • Measure, cut, and bend conduit
  • Pull and label wire
  • Make simple connections (as allowed by license level)
  • Test and troubleshoot
  • Use meters and testing tools to check circuits
  • Help identify faults under supervision
  • Maintain jobsite safety
  • Follow OSHA rules and electrical safety practices
Driving Requirements

An appropriate and valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years for the apprentices

Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Basic writing and reading skills. Basic mathematics skills. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Must use all power tools, saws, drills, threaders, wire taggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches. Operates two (2) handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.
