Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc., a long‑standing electrical contractor, seeks an Electrician Apprentice to support electricians in commercial construction and healthcare settings.

You will assist with wiring, conduit installation, fixture placement, and circuit troubleshooting while following OSHA safety procedures. Ideal candidates are motivated to learn the trade and earn licensure, own their own hand tools, and pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must own your own hand tools.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Motivated to learn the knowledge and trade skills necessary to become a licensed electrician.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with general wiring installation and termination.
• Install EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit.
• Install light fixtures and electrical devices.
• Troubleshoot and complete electrical circuits.
• Complete transformers, motor control, switchboards, and lighting applications.
• Operate tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Assist with cleanup, tool, and material organization and other general labor tasks.

Job Description

As an Electrician Apprentice you will be required to assist electricians in performing all types of electrical work in commercial construction and healthcare environments. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities you will be completing the following:

• General wiring installation and termination.
• Installing EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit.
• Installing light fixture and electrical devices.
• Troubleshooting and completing electrical circuits.
• Complete transformers, motor control, switchboards, and lighting applications.
• Operate tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Cleanup, tool and material organization, and general labor tasks related to electrical construction.
