Job Title: NETA III / NETA IV Apparatus Electricians

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced NETA Level III and IV Apparatus Electricians to join our field services team. In this role, you will perform testing, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on electrical power distribution systems and related apparatus. Successful candidates will have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing, maintenance, and repair on electrical power equipment (breakers, transformers, relays, switchgear, and protective devices).
- Conduct acceptance testing and commissioning of new apparatus installations.
- Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing technical guidance and training.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and recommend corrective actions.
- Document all testing and maintenance results with detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with NETA standards, NFPA, IEEE, OSHA, and other industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and customers regarding test results and recommendations.
- Support field projects across assigned regional territories (travel required).
Requirements
- NETA Certified Technician – Level III or IV (required).
- Minimum of 5+ years of electrical apparatus testing and field service experience.
- Strong knowledge of power systems, protective relays, switchgear, and related apparatus.
- Proficiency with test equipment such as Doble, Megger, Omicron, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Strong safety mindset and experience with arc flash, LOTO, and OSHA safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally to customer sites.
Qualifications
- Experience in utility, industrial, or commercial power distribution environments.
- Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, and automation systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (not required).
