Job summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an Electrician 2 to support large-scale industrial and data-center electrical construction projects. You will install conduit, cable tray, grounding, and equipment, read blueprints, and work with foremen and journeymen to deliver safe, high-quality results.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of related experience, 4,000–6,000 field hours, and a strong safety mindset. This is a hands-on, team-based role with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of industrial, commercial, or data center electrical construction experience.
  • Approximately 4,000–6,000 documented electrical field hours preferred.
  • Ability to install conduit, cable tray, wire and electrical equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience bending conduit with hand and mechanical benders.
  • Experience with underground electrical installations preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and safety commitment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Job Summary

Industrial Power Solutions (IPS), a Sundt Company, is seeking skilled Electrician 2 professionals to join our growing team. This role is ideal for electricians with solid industrial or data center electrical construction experience who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

As an Electrician 2, you will perform electrical installations on large-scale industrial and mission-critical projects while working alongside experienced Foremen, Superintendents, and Journeymen. You'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality work while continuing to develop your technical expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Work up to 12-hour shifts performing physically demanding work in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, steel structures, and aerial lifts.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, carry, and operate tools and equipment.
  • Reach above shoulder height and below the waist on a regular basis.
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, and work in confined or uneven spaces.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vest.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
