Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an experienced Electrician 1 to install and maintain production machinery at the Fernandina Beach facility. The role involves troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, programming PLCs, and performing preventive maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing, fluency in English, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing experience preferred in a paper converting/corrugated environment (from ad).
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming, and read electrical schematics.
• Program VFDs and drives, run conduit and power to new equipment, replace electrical hardware.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and PLC programs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and manage inventory control.

• Perform on highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and
  the plant facility's equipment
• Perform on emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during
  production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
  during machine service

• 5 + years manufacturing experience preferably in a paper converting/corrugated
  environment
• Knowledge of basic tools, power tools, electrical meters, pneumatic blue print
  reading, hydraulic blue print reading, and electrical schematic reading
• Knowledge of basic pneumatic & hydraulic blue print reading and electrical schematic
  reading
• Knowledge in the following programs: Lenz Global, RS logic 5,500 and 5,000,
  Workshop 505, Siemens Step 7
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
