Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA is seeking an Electrician at our Warren, OH facility. You will repair, install, and troubleshoot electrical systems and plant equipment according to blueprints and NEC standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; strong electrical background preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with PLC, VFD, and HMI in manufacturing environments.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC machines preferred; experience reading wiring diagrams and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.
• Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit.
• Cuts wire and conduit to length; installs switches, lights, plugs, sockets, fuses, and cords.
• Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment for repair.
• Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions and tests equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Configures and integrates PLCs, circuitry, and PC boards into plant machinery.
• Understands wiring diagrams or schematics and uses electrical tools and measurement devices.

We are looking to hire for the position of Electrician at our Warren, OH facility.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.
• Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit.
• Cuts wire and conduit to length. Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords.
• Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair.
• Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoots, repair and installs electronic and programmable Logic Controllers, circuitry, and PC boards into plant machinery.
• Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.
• Requires interpretation of wiring diagrams or schematic drawings.
• May develop wiring diagrams.
• May include maintenance of electronic or solid-state controls having interlocking or interdependent circuits.
• Has working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong electrical and PLC manufacturing background preferred
• Advanced knowledge of CNC machines preferred
• 5+ years of experience with PLC, VFD, HMI
