Job summary

Graphic Packaging International Spain SA is seeking a Junior Electrician to join its maintenance team in a high-speed paper cup manufacturing facility. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure reliability and safety, supporting quick production line uptime.

The role requires basic PLC troubleshooting, understanding of electrical schematics, and experience with packaging equipment. Training and growth opportunities are provided in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in industrial/manufacturing electrical work (internships OK)
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred (paper/packaging/FMCG)
• Experience with packaging or paper converting equipment
• Basic PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new machines, panels, and electrical systems
• Wire control panels, junction boxes, and interfaces
• Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits and CI projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Electrician

The Junior Electrician supports the maintenance team in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment within a high-speed paper cup manufacturing facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and minimal downtime of production lines.

• Assist in installation of new machines, panels, and electrical systems.
• Support wiring of control panels, junction boxes, and machine interfaces.
• Help with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of:
  • Electrical systems (120V–480V)
  • Motors and motor controls
  • PLC basics (troubleshooting preferred)
  • Sensors, switches, and instrumentation
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams (preferred)

Experience

• 0–3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience (internships acceptable)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus (paper, packaging, printing, or FMCG
• Experience with packaging or paper converting equipment
• Basic PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

• Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
• Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
• Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
• Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
• Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Pay rate: $44.09/hr
