Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Residential Master Electrician in Michigan with relocation assistance available. The role entails overseeing all aspects of multiple departments, financial planning, and growth strategies, with a focus on efficiency and profitability. A candidate should have extensive HVAC experience and leadership capabilities.

The position is exempt, with hours determined by business needs. Travel between locations may occur as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee service, sales, commercial, gas, installation, call taking, dispatching, billing and day-to-day activity.
• Prepare/review GM reporting including activity trackers and forecasting and take appropriate action.
• Analyze determinates of profitability and take actions to adjust.
• Establish with the President/Owner a dynamic business plan with detailed annual objectives including growth, revenue, bottom line, market share.
• Monitor financial performance and adjust operating expenses.
• Manage procurement to control costs while maintaining quality.
• Monitor efficiency of business relationships and procedures to meet objectives.
• Primary responsibility for residential, commercial and industrial plumbing estimates.
• Work closely with the President/Owner to review performance and implement corrections.
• Top to bottom P&L responsibility.
• Overseeing daily business operations.
• Developing and implementing growth strategies.
• Training low-level managers and staff.
• Creating and managing budgets.
• Improving revenue.
• Evaluating performance and productivity.
• Analyzing accounting and financial data.
• Researching and identifying growth opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

Work Hours

This is an exempt position. Hours to be determined based on the needs of the business.

Competencies

This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to keep composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines. Position requires excellent leadership skills in order to enhance team productivity and work-related standards. Must maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service orientated focus. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written communication skills, in addition to well-developed conflict resolution skills.

Education and Experience

Valid driver’s license and insurable under our company insurance policy. This position requires 5-7 years prior experience in the HVAC industry. Prior supervisory experience with the ability to effectively coach, counsel and train employees. Position requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems. Must have the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems. Exhibits working knowledge of local codes. Requires a high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job.

Work Environment

In Office - Standard office environment.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.

Supervisory Responsibility

Oversees and supervises all employees.

Travel

Regular travel can be expected between Sunnyvale and Fort Worth locations as necessary. Travel to be expected primarily during normal business hours, however, may be required to respond to emergency calls as business demands.
