Job description

Jereh North American Group is seeking an experienced eFrac Electrician to support electric hydraulic-fracturing equipment and related power-distribution systems operating throughout the Midland, Odessa, and Permian Basin area.

This is a hands-on field position responsible for inspecting, commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment used in demanding oilfield operations. The electrician will work directly with field operations, maintenance personnel, equipment technicians, engineering teams, and customer representatives to maintain equipment reliability and reduce operational downtime.

The ideal candidate will have experience with electric pressure-pumping equipment, medium-voltage or high-voltage power distribution, VFDs, switchgear, transformers, electric motors, motor-control centers, PLC-based controls, and industrial electrical troubleshooting.

Candidates with direct eFrac experience are strongly preferred. Industrial electricians with comparable oilfield, power-generation, mining, drilling, manufacturing, or heavy-equipment experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems supporting eFrac and electric pressure-pumping operations.
• Diagnose electrical faults involving medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, motor-control centers, electric motors, cables, connectors, control panels, and related equipment.
• Perform electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation-resistance testers, meggers, and other approved diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, technical procedures, and manufacturer documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related equipment failures during field operations and restore equipment to safe operating condition.
• Support equipment mobilization, rig-up, startup, commissioning, operation, shutdown, rig-down, and relocation activities.
• Inspect power cables, electrical connections, grounding systems, control wiring, enclosures, connectors, and protective devices for damage, wear, contamination, or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with troubleshooting PLC, HMI, instrumentation, communications, interlock, and control-system issues affecting equipment operation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to company procedures, operating requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Document electrical inspections, maintenance activities, equipment conditions, repairs, test results, parts usage, and unresolved technical issues.
• Communicate equipment status, troubleshooting findings, operational risks, and repair recommendations to field supervisors, maintenance leadership, engineering personnel, and customer representatives.
• Coordinate with mechanics, controls technicians, field operators, power-generation technicians, and other personnel during equipment repairs and system testing.
• Respond to equipment outages and emergency field requirements with the urgency necessary to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, spare components, personal protective equipment, and assigned service equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow company electrical-safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, arc-flash precautions, grounding procedures, and applicable customer-site requirements.
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings, job-safety analyses, incident reviews, equipment inspections, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Support field operations during extended shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts when operationally required.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the Midland, Odessa, and Permian Basin area.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience as an industrial, field, oilfield, power-generation, or heavy-equipment electrician.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, power distribution, motor controls, and electrical safety.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment such as VFDs, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, electric motors, control panels, electrical cables, and protective devices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Ability to safely use electrical diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Understanding of lockout/tagout, arc-flash hazards, electrical grounding, energized-work restrictions, and safe electrical work practices.
• Ability to identify electrical hazards and stop work when conditions are unsafe.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with field operations, maintenance, engineering, and customer personnel.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer field locations.
• Ability to work outdoors and in non-climate-controlled environments involving heat, cold, wind, dust, noise, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
• Ability to support extended shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, rotational schedules, and emergency callouts based on operational requirements.
• Ability to lift, carry, position, and safely handle electrical tools, cables, components, and field equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with eFrac or electric pressure-pumping equipment.
• Experience supporting hydraulic-fracturing, pressure-pumping, drilling, completions, or oilfield-service operations.
• Experience with medium-voltage or high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Experience commissioning mobile power-generation or electrically driven field equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial automation, instrumentation, communications, and control systems.
• Experience with gas turbine generators, reciprocating generators, temporary power systems, microgrids, or mobile power distribution.
• Formal electrical, instrumentation, industrial-maintenance, or power-systems training.
• Journeyman Electrician license or recognized electrical certification.
• NFPA 70E, OSHA, First Aid/CPR, HAZCOM, arc-flash, or related safety training.
• Experience working in the Midland, Odessa, or broader Permian Basin market.

This position is based in Midland, Texas and supports field operations throughout the Midland, Odessa, and Permian Basin area. The position requires frequent work at customer oilfield locations and around operating electrical, mechanical, and power-generation equipment.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work in a field-based environment where operational schedules may include extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, rotations, and emergency response.
