Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking an electrician to support electricians, designers and engineers on a range of commercial and industrial projects. You will assist with pre-wiring, wiring to pumps, motors and generators, and reading schematics.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or relevant experience, 2 years of trade school or equivalent, strong NEC knowledge, good communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or relevant experience.
• Two years of trade school or related experience.
• Two years of electrician experience in a similar setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with NEC; knowledge of local/state codes.
• Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the RoleResponsible for assisting technical teams of electricians, designers and engineers to create world class detail on a variety of projects. The position will help complete many tasks including pre-wiring containers with lights and switches, and running wires to pumps, motors and generators.Key Responsibilities and DutiesEnsuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.Reading different types of schematics and P&ID’sRecording materials that are used on the job.Commercial/ industrial experienceBending and installing conduit ranging from sizes 1/2'” to 4”Terminating a variety of wire styles and sizes in panels.Perform all duties and tasks as assigned.Required CompetenciesEducation: High School Diploma preferred or relevant experienceExperience: Two years of trade school or related experience (Preferred) and/or two years of experience as an electrician in a similar-sized institution in an engineering or maintenance occupation.Skills:Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electric Code (NEC).Knowledge of AC and DC wiring is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Demonstrated leadership skills.Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
