Job summary

AC&T Co. Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrician to install and maintain electrical infrastructure across our facilities.

The role involves wiring, troubleshooting outages, and repairing equipment while prioritizing safety. Candidates should have hands-on experience with industrial or commercial systems, read blueprints, and use common electrical tools. A Journeyman license and a strong safety record are required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an electrician.
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing.
  • Excellent safety awareness and compliance with regulations.
  • Physically capable of long shifts and varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Install wiring for lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems.
  • Connect wiring in circuits and networks ensuring component compatibility.
  • Prepare and assemble conduits and route wiring accordingly.
  • Inspect and replace aging wiring and insulated cables; perform repairs as needed.

JOB TITLE: Electrician FLSA: Non-ExemptDEPARTMENT: Maintenance/ConstructionREPORTS TO: Head ElectricianGENERAL SUMMARY:Electrician will undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and repairing appliances. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems. The goal will be to produce and maintain well- functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systemsInstall electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systemsInstall safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of componentsPrepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through themPrevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged unitsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proven experience as an electricianExperience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systemsDemonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprintsThorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelinesExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilityExcellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnightDiploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electricianSolid working knowledge of all code requirementsValid Journeyman Electrician license in good standingWORKING CONDITIONSMust be able to work in all types of climates and conditions indoors and outdoors to include heat, cold, rain, snow and ice.
