Job summary

RQ Construction LLC seeks an Electrician for the Kings Bay, GA area to join our Electrical Self-Perform team on construction projects. You will install, maintain and repair wiring, equipment and fixtures in accordance with codes and safety practices.

The position requires 4+ years of journeyman-level experience in commercial/industrial settings; union or trade-school apprenticeship is preferred. CPR/First Aid and OSHA 30 certifications are required; additional trainings listed on the posting are

Job description

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national and international presence spanning coast to coast, including U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and now, Puerto Rico. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Kings Bay, Georgia. This project will require variable shifts to meet project deadlines and ensure continuous coverage. There is an expectation that the shift work will last through the end of 2025.

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of electrical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Pay: $39.92 per hour; Eligible for Overtime

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position. Should be supplemented by completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work.
• Four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level wireman in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.

• Ability to provide the necessary tools, including, but not limited to knife, pliers/linemen, screwdrivers, nut drivers, key hole saw, hacksaw, hammer, level (small 12"), channel locks 2, needle nose pliers/long nose pliers, voltage meter/tester, tool pouch/belt for electrical, diagonal pliers, Allen wrenches/stranded/metric, taps (6/32, 8/32, 10/24), wire stripers, socket set, tape measure (at least 25 ft.), side cutters, flashlight, cordless drill/impact drill, wrench set, crescent wrench.
