Unknown Company is seeking an experienced electrical technician to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and code specifications for industrial electrical installations.
You will install, test, repair, and troubleshoot wiring, switchgear, transformers, motors, and control systems while following NEC and local codes. The position is a full-time day shift.
Salary is $23.00 per hour DOE; candidate will use meters and testing equipment; previous PLC experience preferred.
A local engineering manufacturing company is looking for someone who can read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. Install and test switchgears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators. Repair, test and install electrical motors, and generators. Troubleshoot/install electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
Required experience: Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on electrical experience.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards. Proficiency with electrical testing equipment.Ability to use a multimeter and megger. Previous electrical training courses. High voltage, 3 phase, 12v/24DC and soldering experience. PLC experience.
