# **Electrician – JLL**## What this job involves:As an Electrician at JLL, you'll be a vital member of our technical operations team, ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of electrical systems across our managed facilities. In this hands-on role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems while leveraging cutting-edge digital tools and AI-enhanced diagnostic technologies to deliver exceptional service. This position offers the opportunity to advance your technical expertise while making a meaningful impact on the buildings and communities we serve.## What your day-to-day will look like:**Technical Operations & Maintenance:** Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, lighting, fixtures, transformers, and circuit breakers. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels and circuits while conducting regular inspections and system diagnostics. Document all service work, inspections, and modifications using CMMS systems and digital reporting tools.**Troubleshooting & Repair:** Test, diagnose, and repair electrical system issues, malfunctions, and safety hazards. Leverage AI tools to optimize diagnostic accuracy, prioritize service requests, and enhance work efficiency. Install conduit, wire, cable, and associated electrical components while ensuring all work meets National Electrical Code and local building regulations.**HVAC System Support:** Apply your knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to support integrated building operations. Assist with troubleshooting HVAC-related electrical components and collaborate with HVAC technicians on system repairs and maintenance.**Client & Customer Service Excellence:** Provide responsive, professional service to building occupants, facility managers, and clients. Communicate clearly about system status, repair timelines, and maintenance schedules. Address client concerns with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach while explaining technical issues in accessible terms.**Safety & Compliance:** Adhere to all OSHA standards, JLL safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Participate in safety training programs and contribute to a culture of safety awareness. Follow proper procedures for every installation and repair, including circuit breaker maintenance and annual infrared scan assistance.**Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:** Work effectively with facility managers, engineers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget. Build relationships with vendors and service providers while sharing knowledge and best practices with team members. Support energy management initiatives and identify opportunities for system optimization.**On-Call & Additional Responsibilities:** Participate in scheduled on-call rotation for emergency service calls. Maintain organized work areas, tools, and equipment. Engage in continuous learning to stay current with evolving technologies, building automation systems, and industry best practices.## Required Qualifications:• Valid Virginia electrician license and successful completion of an electrician apprenticeship program• Minimum 4+ years of electrical contracting experience with demonstrated proficiency in electrical theory, systems installation, maintenance, and repair• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and schematics with strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and building regulations• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required by client sites• Experience using CMMS or other work order management systems for documenting service work and maintaining accurate records• Physical capability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and perform duties requiring sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in various environments• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with proven customer service orientation and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams## Preferred Qualifications:• Track record of delivering exceptional customer service in client-facing technical roles with demonstrated relationship-building skills• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems with experience supporting integrated HVAC and electrical operations• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management platforms• Experience using AI tools or digital technologies to enhance work efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and system performance monitoring• Comfort with adopting new technologies and digital tools to improve service delivery and operational efficiency## Location: Richmond, VA## Work Shift: 08 Hour Day - 1st Shift/Morning ShiftThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
