Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in lab or field settings in North Charleston, SC. You will read blueprints, perform wiring, and troubleshoot to keep systems safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, valves, and automated machinery, while following NEC and OSHA safety standards. Travel may be required to support projects and service needs.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and mechanical skills and attention to detail with knowledge of electrical systems and tools.
• System Maintenance: perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, pumps, valves, and automated machinery.
• Electrical Work: install, test, and repair wiring, circuit breakers, control panels, and power distribution units.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose malfunctions in mechanical and electrical components using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
• Blueprint Reading: interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints to plan repairs.
• Follow NEC, OSHA rules, and lockout/tagout safety standards.
