Job summary

Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced electrician to support our growing renewable solutions business. The role involves installing inverters, disconnects, cables and panels, routing conduit, wiring, and commissioning control devices for commercial rooftop solar systems across the Southeast.

The candidate will read electrical drawings, interconnect systems to utilities, and ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E standards.

Qualifications

• Master Electrician license preferred
• Minimum Journeyman license or 10 years electrical experience
• Knowledge of NEC and safety standards (NFPA 70E)
• Experience with solar PV systems and interconnection
• Willingness to travel across the southeastern United States
• OSHA10 or higher certification is preferred
• NABCEP certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Install electrical equipment, cables, and panels for commercial rooftop solar systems
• Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install distribution panels and disconnects
• Tie in solar systems to utility interconnection and ensure code compliance
• Review BOM and prepare crews and tools for each project
• Act as primary on-site contact with customers, authorities, and utilities
• Lead and train crew members; manage quality and schedule on project sites

POSITION SUMMARY:Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced electrician to support the rapid growth of our renewable solutions business. This position is responsible for installing electrical equipment such as inverters, disconnects, cables and panels, bending/installing conduit, pulling and terminating wire, and commissioning various control components and devices required to complete the installation of commercial rooftop solar systems. Our projects are located throughout the southeastern United States. Frequent travel is required, however, most work is performed during weekdays.Colite Technologies designs and delivers a portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions to commercial and industrial markets that support corporate sustainability goals and objectives. The portfolio includes commercial solar systems, renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Install equipment, cables and panels, bend, properly size and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install various Distribution panel and Disconnect sizes required to complete installation of commercial rooftop solar systems.Tie in solar system to utility interconnection.Ensure all projects pass state and local jurisdictional requirements.Review project Bill of Material at loading dock to ensure that assigned crew truck is adequately stocked for assigned projects.Act as primary point of contact at site representing Colite Technologies to our customers, permitting authorities and host utilities.Maintain a culture of accountability by directing daily activities of crew members and overseeing quality of their work.Drive a continuous improvement culture that optimizes quality, customer satisfaction and schedule completion.When needed, lead, train crew members, and delegate tasks to crew members in the absence of the crew lead.REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibiting professionalism, high energy level, significant commitment, “roll up your sleeves style,” and demonstrated interest in supporting the growth of new businesses.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000V DC / 120V – 480V AC.Understand NEC Requirements. Proficient in Solar Photovoltaic Systems (Art. 690) and Interconnected Electric Power Production (Art. 705)Frequent travel as project sites are located throughout the southeastern states.Focus on quality, attention to detail and documentation.Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment with demonstrated Program/Project management skills.Experience in solar installationQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:Master Electrician or State License preferred.Minimum Journeyman electrical license and or 10 years experience in the electrical field.Knowledgeable of NFPA 70E.
