Job summary

New Mexico State University (NMSU) in Las Cruces is seeking an Electrician to perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical systems and controls. You will interpret wiring diagrams and work with NEC standards.

Required: NM Journeyman Electrician license (EE98) or ability to obtain within one year, plus a valid driver’s license. Standard M-F, 8-5 hours; AFSCME bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Journeyman Electrician's License NM (EE98) required or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams or schematics.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
