Thalle Construction Company Co., Inc. (Thalle) seeks an experienced Licensed Electrician in Kentucky for a 6-year USACE project on Kentucky Lake in Grand Rivers, KY. Compensation is $32.35/hr plus fringe.

Responsibilities include installing conduit, wiring lighting and power equipment, testing PLCs, reading blueprints, and adhering to NFPA 70E and site safety rules. Must work at heights and handle 480V systems.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed electrician in Kentucky.
• Ability to program, install and test PLC systems.
• Ability to work with 480V and 200-300amp systems and motor controls.
• Able to operate out of man lift and work at heights.
• Knowledgeable in NFPA 70E for industrial environment.
• Ability to read blueprints or diagrams.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationship with field and office personnel.

• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
• Install control and distribution apparatus.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Responsible for the observation and compliance with all related project site safety rules.
• Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism.
• Trouble shoot and repair electrical power and control wiring for concrete batch plant and excavation dewatering system.
• Perform proper lockout/tagout procedures.

Thalle is currently seeking an experience, Licensed Electrician (KY) on a 6 Year, $375M (+) USACE Lock and Dam project located on scenic Kentucky Lake in Grand Rivers, KY.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Ability to receive written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to read blueprints or diagrams.

• Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others.
• Industrial or Heavy Civil Electrician experience preferred.
• USACE EM 385 experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times.
• Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
• Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen
