Job summary

ACES is seeking self-motivated electricians to join our installation team for HVAC controls projects in Virginia. This full-time role covers all aspects of installing building automation systems and requires reading drawings, wiring, conduit work, and mounting panels and devices.

Applicants should have at least 2 years in electrical work, a clean driving record, and be willing to travel. HVAC experience and an electrician license are preferred, with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years in electrician field.
  • HVAC experience is a plus.
  • Electricians license strongly preferred.
  • Clean driving record and background check required.
  • Familiarity with construction concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Customer service oriented and able to interact with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Read jobsite drawings to understand installation areas and requirements.
  • Install and terminate low voltage cable.
  • Bend and install conduit consisting of EMT, Ridgid, and PVC.
  • Install panels to walls and HVAC equipment.
  • Install field devices such as sensors, thermostats, and damper actuators for HVAC equipment.
  • Install DDC controllers in panels.
  • Travel up to 10% and work outside normal hours/weekends as required.
  • Other duties as required.

ACES is offering immediate full-time positions for self-motivated and experienced electricians to join our growing installation team.

This role involves all aspects of the installation process for building automation systems.

Position Type

Full-Time, overtime may be required based on project needs

Reports To

Installation Manager

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Include The Following
  • Read jobsite drawings (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to understand proper installation areas and requirements
  • Install and terminate low voltage cable
  • Bend and install conduit consisting of EMT, Ridgid, and PVC
  • Install panels to walls and HVAC equipment
  • Install field devices such as sensors, thermostats, and damper actuators for HVAC equipment
  • Install DDC controllers in panels
  • Read ACES generated wiring drawings to understand how to wire equipment
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the organization and support the team.
  • Utilize various hand tools and equipment and maintain tools and equipment for proper functionality.
  • Some travel with occasional overnight stays. (10%)
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Familiarity with the concepts of new construction.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Customer service oriented, able to interact with and build a good rapport with customers.
